# Carvia

> Carvia is an M3U / IPTV player built for the car. Add your own playlist once and watch your live channels on the phone and on the car display — CarPlay, Android Auto and Android Automotive OS. It is a player only: it ships with no channels or content, needs no account, and your lists stay on your device.

## Platforms

- **iPhone + CarPlay** (iOS 17 or later) — live on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6818243651. Opens on every CarPlay car screen, including cars without CarPlay video support. Library, Browser and Mirror sit in the top bar of the car display.
- **Android phone + Android Auto** (Android 8.0 or later) — Google Play listing in preparation; APK available from https://carviaapp.com/versions.html#android. On Android Auto, Carvia appears among the media apps: browse favorites, playlists and groups with logos; channels play as audio (the picture stays on the phone).
- **Android Automotive OS** (cars with Google built-in, Android 10 or later) — full-screen player with large touch targets for Favorites, Library, Search, Add playlist and Settings. Video switches off automatically when you start driving; audio continues where the car allows it.

## Features

- Sources: M3U, M3U8, HLS and HTTP streams; Xtream Codes login imports live channels, movies and series automatically. Add a list by pasting a link or scanning a QR code.
- Playlist tags `group-title` and `tvg-logo` are honored, so channels land in the right group with the right logo. Each playlist is a folder you can refresh, rename or delete; favorites and search work across all of them; playback positions are remembered.
- Local files play offline: MKV, AVI, MP4 and more (MKV / AVI support since 1.2.3).
- CarPlay live TV: a player made for the car display — back, favorite, 10-second skip, and the car's own next / previous buttons. Since 1.2.2 the CarPlay library is split into Live TV, Movies and Series with poster artwork.
- CarPlay web browser: open websites on the car display; the iPhone acts as trackpad and keyboard. Videos in a page go fullscreen on the car screen.
- iPhone screen mirroring to CarPlay: any app, portrait or landscape, hardware-encoded up to 30 fps (rebuilt in 1.2.3). Premium unlocks High and Ultra profiles (Full HD, up to 60 fps on supported iPhones).
- Phone and car stay in sync: pick a channel on the iPhone and it starts on the car display; send the current video to the car with one button.
- 30 languages: English, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bulgarian, Bengali, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hindi, Armenian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Lithuanian, Norwegian Bokmål, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Serbian (Latin), Swedish, Tajik, Thai, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional).

## Pricing

- Free with ads on the phone. The car screen never shows an ad.
- Carvia Premium (in-app purchase) removes the ads and, on iPhone, unlocks the High and Ultra mirroring profiles. Plans: weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage them in the App Store or Google Play account settings.

## Privacy

- No account, no sign-up, no profile. Playlists, favorites, resume positions, imported files and Xtream logins are stored only on the phone and are sent only to the server the user entered.
- Mirroring and browser data travel locally between the phone and the car; nothing is uploaded.
